#12: When You Go Surfing And Don’t Have a Single Photo To Show It!? :o

I needed to fake the featured photo, it’s kind of ok, it still shows the conditions although it’s mirrored and from a completely different spot. Hah, chasing windswells rarely gives very different results. So. It was again time to go to the island <3! Forecast was okayish for this spot so I arrived a day early in the evening. A few widsurfers had the same idea. It was almost midnight when I made it to the end of the dirt road so straight to bed. Next morning the refreshed forecast looked a bit disappointing. Wave forecast dropped to size where I would seriously think if going here was a good idea. Did some work in the van waiting for the waves to pick up. And they did! Even with smaller forecast there were solid sets coming through every now and then, just a little bit crowded. Everyone wanted a piece of a short lived pie. After 3-4 hours the wind almost died down so it was game over for windsurfers. Waves were still good size for another hour, although they didn’t clear and organize as they usually do when the wind stops. You had to find a diamond in the rough and when you did it was a sick ride with walls more vertical than usual. After 4h of surfing I had enough.
