#21: Surfing in Snow <3

They don't have snow removal service and snow plows around here. They have to call them in from inland. Photo: Miha Godec

I always wanted to surf in snow. After a few really cold sessions that thanks to my new wetsuit were not that bad at all it was on my mind even more. But more in a way of….someday I’m going to surf Norway, Lofoten, Iceland or something. I have never dreamed it would happen at our “home” spot and that it would happen so soon. The catch is, that south wind that makes waves also always brings warmer weather. But after a long period of sub zero temperatures and northern winds the atmosphere was cold enough that it started to snow instead of the usual rain. Yeah!!! Lol, I’m making it sound so exciting, like some dreamy tropical island.

Anyway, it was a really sick session, if there were fewer lulls and the waves would be just a bit bigger it would have been epic. Thanks Miha for the photos!
