#28-50: How a Small Scratch Turns Into a Grand Canyon After 3 Weeks of Surfing

When the only shadow is under your surfboard.

Island time. Warm water. Semi empty lineups. Glassy waves. Scorching hot sun. And then those stupid scratches… when your flip flop gives you a blister after two days of walking around in flipflops after long European winter. That small scratch that you get when you slip climbing back into a boat after 3h session. It’s nothing. But after 3 weeks of surfing, even with constant care with everything from Chinese reef cuts medicine, to biplacenta cream, to alcohol, bandages, everything… after three weeks each one of those scratches looks like a Grand canyon :). I think I need to do an article on reef cut care in the tropics and list all the different medicines that do not work haha. And the rest? Crazy good.
