#36-37: One Of The Biggest Clean NOA Days Ever

Before the second session at noon.

Wednesday evening should see some size. With lots of wind but okay, lets go anyway. It really wasn’t that good, to small and too windy. It put doubts in our minds about the next morning. Because, the next morning should be kind of good. Strong wind throughout the night that stops sometime after midnight and in the morning there should be some leftover glassy waves. But when the evening didn’t deliver…who knows what Thursday would bring.

BAM! Thursday delivered and more. It overdelivered. This had to be one of the biggest clean waves that I have seen on this spot. Especially early morning they were also breaking insanely good. The first wave I dropped into was a beautiful a-frame and after bottom turn there was a long smooth wall of water peeling down the line. Just perfect! No closeouts, no “big peak and he no wall” waves. It was crazy. After an hour or so size dropped just a little bit but there was more and more closeouts. Still it was one of the best days here ever. We surfed all day, sun came up and even when I was leaving around 3pm you could still catch a few clean leftovers if you waited long enough.
