Sardinia is always a good idea. We did Sardegna trip a couple of times now and it was different every time. From constant clouds and rain and constant big swells last year to 14 days of sunshine and warm weather in the end of December beginning of January this year. There was a bit less surf this time and nothing really big, but on the other hand, we could surf more deserted and exposed spots with only a couple people out (or alone). We watched 15 crazy sunsets in a row, saw wild boars, saw seagulls riding a sheep, saw an amazing sea cave under the 300m cliff, climbed a ferrata straight up from the sea to the top of the island, had no problems with our van and the heating worked as magic.
