ASP Midyear Cutoff On/Off And 2012 World Tour Surfers

Oh well… and now it’s off. The “I love tennis” much hated and controversial midyear cutoff that brought in amongst others Gabriel Medina and his two WCT wins and that saw Bobby Martinez flipping out is now officially a thing of a surfing past. At least for now. At the last ASP meeting the board decided that the following surfers will compete in 2012 for all year long. No cutoff, no change in the middle of the year. If you want on tour you have to wait the whole year. And be good enough of course :).
