Eco Faultline, Eco Mexican Sol and Eco Peppers Boardshorts
Billabong jumped on the project BLUE train and joined other companies that give part of their earnings to support ocean and beach protection. They actually developed a fabric called Eco-Suede, a recycled and recyclable pure polyester fiber material made from recycled textiles and plastic soda bottles. Now you can save all your empty plastic bottles, go to your tailor and order a pair of boardshorts.
The blah blah
“We are proud to be involved in this effort,” said Paul Naude, President of Billabong-USA. “Billabong is committed to doing what we can to support the world’s environment, and this project adds to our ongoing contribution.”
“We’re excited to have Billabong join the project BLUE initiative,” said project BLUE Founder Vipe Desai. “Their team has a passion for developing great products and now these products, when sold, will help to protect our coastlines.”
Billabong Boardshorts
Billabong will offer three eco boardshort styles. From now on you will be both eco and styling in Eco Faultline and the Eco Mexican Sol boardshorts. And then there will also be Eco Peppers boardshort, which is the new version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers boardshort.
Where and when?
Since the launch date is June 2007, the boardshorts should already be on the shelves of Billabong retailers and in special project BLUE shops.
