Hotline wetsuits and Mavericks Surf Ventures today released “The Official Wetsuit of The 2007 Mavericks Surf Contest” . This limited edition cold water wetsuit, based on Hotline’s top-of-the-line Phoenix model. The “Official Mavericks Wetsuit” features a unique graphics package derived from the exclusive competitor-only wetsuits already presented by Hotline to this year’s official Mavericks Surf Contest invitees during the Opening Ceremonies in January.
Mavericks Rashguard
In addition to the competitor-only suits and the new Official Mavericks Wetsuit Hotline will also be supplying the “Official Mavericks Rashguard,” a high-quality co-branded rashguard that will be worn by all 24 of this year’s contest surfers and will also be available for sale to the public. At the conclusion of this year’s contest, Hotline will also come up with one-of-a-kind, “Gold Contest Champion Mavericks Wetsuit,” to the 2007 Contest winner as a part of the Champion’s prize package. “Inspired in part by the Tour de France, Eric Heiden and a little NASCAR, you truly have to see it to believe it,” said Hotline designer, Ryan Buell.
The Official Mavericks Wetsuit by Hotline
Mavericks Contest Wetsuit
The “Official Mavericks Wetsuit” features Hotline’s trademark front-zip entry design, anti-flush waterways and new, exclusive Metalitape seams – all features designed to satisfy Hotline riders like Darryl ‘Flea’ Virostko, Zach Wormhoudt, Jake Wormhoudt, Shawn ‘Barney’ Barron and Sarah Gerhardt. “Our technical wetsuits are designed for optimal warmth, comfort and fit. Whether you surf the harsh conditions of Mavericks, or two-foot Malibu waves in the winter, we produce the warmest performance suits on the market. Staying true to function first is why Hotline is so popular in colder surf regions,” said Buell.
The limited edition “Official Mavericks Wetsuit” is a 4/3mm full suit, hand-built in Santa Cruz by experts who understand the performance needs of both big waves and cold water. It is built tough enough to handle Mavericks, yet versatile enough to perform no matter where you choose to challenge yourself. To help customers get the clearest possible picture of this limited edition suit, Mavericks Surf Ventures has commissioned a special three-dimensional online presentation of the suit from motion-control imagery specialists Heck Yes Productions.
