#44: Čmar Day Diaries I.

Packing to go down

If you would make a movie about surfing in the Adriatic sea, the most suitable title would be Čmar day diaries. I won’t go into details what “čmar” means, but it’s not good. Because, most of the times the surf is not good. This was the case this Tuesday. The forecast promised waves around 1.2m which usually means you can actually surf the waves, not just ride them. Make turn or two, go up and down the wall pumping etc… But not this time. Waves were supper small. Pretty much the smallest you can surf without a longboard so it was mostly riding the wave over shallow rocks trying not to sink your board. Tiptoe surfing. Trying to be really gentle. The only upside was, that it was really clean. There was almost no wind so from the car, when I parked up the road and saw the lines coming in, I was pumped. It looks it was going to be sick. But when I paddled in I was greeted by Luggy showing me thumbs down. And when Luggy shows you thumbs down you know it’s small. Well, still better than nothing. 2.3/10
