This was the first time I went to Morocco for two months after spending the summer in France. The surf that year was really really good, lots of big waves, freight train walls and epic bombs. This photo is from one of the most famous Moroccan waves – Anchor point north of Thagazout. I like how it captures the vibe on the beach, people cheering, not many surfers go inside when it gets that big.
