If you are from north L.A. there is a new site you should check out. SurfWise gives you daily photo surf reports, weather conditions,tides and a few more things. Someone from SurfWise actually visits the beaches from the Ventura County line down to Venice every morning and takes pictures. He runs back to the office and puts them on-line for you to see and judge if you feel like going down to the beach.
Apart from that Surfwise is also very environmentally aware. I did not even know a thing like that existed, but their website is hosted by Sustainable Websites – green hosting company. Their servers are powered by wind power. And Surfwise is a member of One Percent for the Planet.
I can not quite decide if this is a dream job or not, I guess after he/she has to go back to the office and upload the stuff, write some words… instead of go surfing. Or not if the system works wireless :)
