Three days of super strong north wind would usually mean we go to the 20km spot but surprisingly the webcam looks pretty much flat the whole time. Something to do with the angle of the wind I guess. So we went to a not often surfed spot in Istria. Saturday the waves were not that bad, but the problem here is the bigger (better) the waves, the stronger the wind. The wind blows straight into the spot. No protection, nothing. So your eyes are full of water spray and you are participating in a paddle marathon as the wind is constantly blowing you out of the takeoff zone.
Next day the wind was more tolerable, but the waves were that much smaller. The “point” wasn’t working so after a while I went to the right breaking in front of some rocks and I forgot how shallow it is :)
