Usual wind swell chasing scenario goes like this. Long range surf forecast shows something. Even something huge. We get excited. The closer it is the smaller the forecast. One or two days before the surf day it turns completely to shit. So this time everything was going as planned. Two days before the surf day, on Thursday, the forecast dropped and then dropped some more on Friday and bringing our surfboard with us to the sea became useless. It was so bad I didn’t even think it could turn up a bit and surprise me. But we still brought our boards for some paddling and photos.
So Saturday morning I was lazily eating breakfast and wasting away on social media. There is a view of the sea right from the kitchen table, but it looked just as windy as the forecast promised. Which is not enough.
When I have checked all the things I usually check on my phone (the list is long :) ) I decided to check the webcam.
WTF?!?!? There are fun waves breaking 20min from the apartment. How is this possible? Where is my surfboard? Where is my leash? Why am I asking myself question and still eating breakfast when I should be already driving:)?
20min later we were in the water. It wasn’t that good, I forgot my leash and the forgot I forgot my leash so first wave I had to swim to the beach to get my board:). But it was fun and totally unexpected.
