#37: I’m back II.

Three days later I was again parked under the pine trees looking at waves. Southwest is tricky, but Barba seemed like the best bet and it was. The water was super high, I guess this is why the waves lacked some steepness. The sea was so high that waves were crashing on to the usual parking spot so I moved the van higher up on to the road. Morning was completely clean. The bay was sheltered from the SW wind and lines were peeling into the bay. Size was good, but the waves were a little mellow. After a few hours the wind started turning west and blowing straight into the bay. It was harder and harder to get a good wave. There was some rain, clouds, some sun. When I got out I stayed in my wetsuit, hoping for another session. But it got really cold standing in the wind.

Domen came down the road and mention that on the other side they were goin in. I drove there, it’s like 150m max, but it was like driving into another season. From Autumn back into Summer. No wind, warm sun… I put my wetsuit back on and jumped from the pier for another session. Small, super clean waves with Domen, Bošti, Andrej and Paul.
